Carbon Dioxide

In case you have just arrived on the planet, we are slowly coming to the realisation that the atmospheric CO2 levels have jumped 25% in 50 years – someone has been inconsiderate in a Buick in a big way – and guess which way its heading? BBQ’d icecaps anyone?

So what does this mean to you? -your lifestyle is either going to change or  be changed to a low carbon one – that means in the short term; better energy efficiency, transport changes and price changes.  A carbon tax will become the primary instrument for change as well as some additional rules and regulations.  These will affect housing and transport as well as planning and design.  All of this designed to slow the rise not to fix it – the likelihood is that this will be a multigenerational problem.
