To put things in perspective consider the fact that each day enough solar radiation reaches the planet to cater for mankind’s annual energy requirements – we just need to be weaned off the fossil energy concentrate. (aka Oil). Actually the hundreds of millions of years that it takes to concentrate the original solar energy results in a product with an energy density only slightly more than twice that of good quality dry firewood. Which brings us to an important point – planting trees.
